November 27th, 2023: A great send-off yesterday: a Celebration of Life hosted by Catherine Clement for Larry Wong, the writer/historian/community organizer of Chinatown and the Chinese Canadian Historical Society.
Larry (1938–2023) was eulogized by friends and colleagues, including Larry Grant from Musqueam, his nephew Warren, and UBC historian Henry Yu. Elwin Xie provided a short film including a CBC interview with Larry from a decade ago.
Larry passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023.
