Enquiries and Research Advice

The Vancouver Historical Society is pleased to respond to enquiries related to events, people and places in Vancouver history. Enquiries that do not require research are directed to individual VHS members who may be able to help.  We cannot guarantee an answer to your question, but if we have it, we'll share it with you.

However, as an all-volunteer society with no collections of our own, the VHS is not in a position to undertake detailed research in response to individual enquiries.  Where research is required, we will suggest appropriate resources which you may access, either in person or online, to search for the needed  information. Among these are local museums, libraries and archives, books and periodicals, other historical organizations, websites and online databases.  You'll find links to some of these under "Links" on this VHS website.
